In the first post-pandemic year, members of the Wrocław Congress Ambassadors Club showed great activity in the area of organizing and participating in numerous conferences and congresses held both in Wrocław and in other Polish, and not only, cities.
Prof. Waldemar Banasiak., Ph.D, chaired the conference on cardionephrodiabetology, held in Wroclaw in June 2022. The event is cyclical and is carried out in various Polish cities, with the main goal of popularizing knowledge in the described fields and also encouraging participants into an active discussions about the topic.
Prof. Edward Chlebus, Ph.D., was part of the program committee of the Smart Industry Revolution 2022 conference held in June at the Wrocław University of Technology. The main topics of the event were the latest technologies and applied solutions, but also the world after COVID or the culture of innovation. In addition, Prof. Edward Chlebus powered the program committee of the international conference Innovative Solutions in the Smart Economy & Smart Industry 2022, which was held in Legnica, located near Wroclaw.
Mr. Grzegorz Dzik was involved in the organization of the charity concert “Wroclawians to the Children of Ukraine”, which was an important aspect of the support shown to our neighbors from Ukraine. The event was held in June at the Wrocław Congress Center.
Prof. Jerzy Kaleta, Ph.D., of Wrocław University of Technology took part in the G2 Forum: Geopolitics and the Economy, whose theme this year was the fight for a new world. The discussions were held at Tarczynski Arena and brought together representatives of: science, business, politics or the military from both Poland and abroad.
Prof. Andrzej Kübler, Ph.D., chaired the Organizing and Scientific Committee of the XXXIII Conference “Advances in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care” together with the IV Polish Congress “To Defeat Sepsis”, which took place in June at the Ibis Styles Wrocław Centrum Hotel.
Prof. Miroslaw Kutylowski, Ph.D., of the Wroclaw University of Technology joined as a speaker at the Security first CEE 2022 conference, which was carried out in a virtual format.
Prof. Leszek Paradowski, Ph.D., chaired the Scientific Committee of the 25th Wrocław Gastroenterology Spring, which was held in April in a virtual format.
Mr. Zbigniew Sebastian, Honorary President of the Lower Silesian Chamber of Commerce, took part in the conference Wroclaw is Entrepreneurial, which considered who is behind the development of Wroclaw entrepreneurship.
Professor Alekander Weron was one of the presenters of the Seminar on Stochastic and Numerical Methods, which was held in 2022 in a virtual format.
Prof. Jerzy Zwoździak, Ph.D., was the head of the Grow Green project, which lasted for 5 years and whose main goal was to adapt the city to climate change through numerous initiatives. The project involved the City of Wroclaw, Wroclaw University of Life Sciences and the Wroclaw Agglomeration Development Agency.
Mr. Andrzej Ociepa received the Golden Badge of Honor of Wroclaw 2022. “Wroclaw with Gratitude” is an honorary decoration of the local government rank, awarded for meritorious public activities for the development of Wroclaw. Our Ambassador was the director of the Municipal Public Library in Wroclaw from 2000 to 2022. During this time, the institution became one of the most modern and important public libraries in Poland.
Prof. Agnieszka Kita, Ph.D., of the University of Life Sciences has joined the Health and Food Working Group of the European Strategic Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI), and is also a member of the Local Organizing Committee of the 4th International Nordic Baltic Drying Conference, organized by the University of Life Sciences in Wroclaw, this September.
In February of this year, Mr. Radoslaw Ratajszczak stepped down as head of the Wroclaw Zoo after 15 successful and meritorious works for the Wroclaw Zoo. Since March, however, the Ambassador has taken up the post of Director of the Primate Conservation Program at Cuc Phuong Park in Vietnam.
Elsevier published a database of more than 100,000. of the most outstanding representatives of world science, among which the leader of Polish scientists in the category of Dermatology was the Ambassador of Congresses of Wroclaw, Prof. Jacek Szepietowski, Ph.D, from the Wroclaw Medical University. who received the 53 index, which determined the place in the classification.
Prof. Dariusz Adamski, Ph.D., was involved in the organization of the ICON-S 2022 international conference, which was realized in July at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wroclaw. The event attracted more than 400 participants from all over the world, despite the hybrid format of the conference.
Prof. Marta Misiuk-Hojło, Ph.D., was involved in the Office of the Organization of the Second Ophthalmology Young Talents Conference, which was held in April at the Medical University of Wroclaw.
