Market Square

Whether for business, tourism, shopping or a splendid meal, the Market Square is a vibrant center of city life that offers something for everyone. Set among charming, colorful buildings, the historic center of the city is a must see in Wrocław. During the day the Market Square is crowded with tourists and office workers, but at night it becomes the most vibrant entertainment hotspot in the city. Full of colorful restaurants, clubs and cafes the Market Square barely goes to sleep at all


The Cathedral Island

The oldest part of Wrocław, Cathedral Island is surrounded by the waters of the Odra River. A former stronghold, Ostrów Tumski, is full of history and inspiring architectural monuments. It’s gothic buildings overlook the city giving a sense of its rich history. The Island is the oldest part of the city, surrounded by Odra River it has been the foundation of the contemporary city.


Centennial Hall Complex

The Centennial Hall Complex is a unique state-of-the-art facility which hosts various events and meetings. In 2006 the Centennial Hall has been enlisted at the UNESCO World’s Heritage List. Constructed in only two years, from 1911 – 1913, it has been the world’s biggest concrete structure at that time. Nowadays the Centennial Hall is a perfect place both for meetings and leisure. With the Wrocław Congress Center creates a perfect combination of facilities to organize a vast range of events. Surrounded by the Szczytnicki Park with its Japanese Garden, the venue presents a perfect collocation of the present and the past.


Hydropolis

Hydropolis, is a unique knowledge center that combines educational values with a modern exhibition form. It was opened in December 2015 and is the only object like this in Poland, one of the few in the world. It discovers the processes in which water is involved – an extraordinary substance with which each of us contacts every day, but not everyone is aware of its essence. 

Hydropolis consists of 9 thematic zones, where visitors can see how the longest water printer in Europe works, enter the legendary Trieste bathyscaphe, admire the most accurate copy of David’s sculpture in the world and discover Wrocław from a bird’s eye view thanks to the most modern model in Poland.

Hydropolis is also a unique example of the revitalization of a post-industrial facility. The exhibition is located in a historic underground clean water tank. The facility was built in 1893 and is one of the monuments of Wroclaw water supply architecture.


ZOO & Africarium

The ZOO in Wrocław was created in 1865 and had a dozen hectares of surface. Today on 33 ha live 10,000 animals. ZOO in Wrocław is the oldest and the richest in fauna in Poland. It is possible to see the animals from every continent and environment, for example in Madagascar, Sahara or Europe Pavillons. The biggest attraction is Afrykarium -an oceanarium unique on a global scale, presenting only species inhabiting Africa - from the beach of the Red Sea to the Congo jungle. There are many fascinating species such as rare fishes, hippos, rays, sharks, penguins and crocodiles, as well as phenomenal manatees.


Tarczyński Arena

The Municipal Stadium, built especially for the UEFA EURO 2012™ Championships, is a modern business and sports center which offers much more than only sports activities. Built-in a new part of the city, the venue offers technologically advanced meeting spaces which can facilitate over 230 conference participants. Even though the Stadium has been built in 2011, it has already hosted some of the most prestigious sports and cultural events, such as the Klitschko – Adamek boxing match, George Michael Orchestra Symphonica and Queen with Adam Lambert concerts, the Monster Jam car show and of course UEFA EURO 2012™ Football Championships.


The Quarter of Four Denominations

The Quarter of Four Denominations, also known as the Four Denominations District or the Site of Mutual Respect is a unique place where Catholics, Protestants, Jews and Orthodox Christians coexist and cooperate smoothly. It was an inspiration to create a "four temples cultural path." Actions connected with the idea of cultural trail are aimed at restoration of cultural values historically cultivated in this quarter and at showing the present day Wrocław multiculturalism and openness.
