1.’Operation monument’ photo competition

Competition task:

To take a photograph depicting a monument of your choice, which can be not only a building but also a tree, a painting, a sculpture, etc. Each person can submit one entry together with a short description of what it depicts and a justification for the monument chosen. The work should be sent to the following e-mail address: info@convention.wroclaw.pl.

  • The competition is aimed at children and young people aged between 6 and 18.
  • The deadline for submitting works is 31 August 2023.

The aim of the competition is to arouse Participants’ interest in history, culture and the immediate environment, and to showcase children’s and young people’s creativity in the broadest sense. The committee will select three winners in 3 age categories, each of whom will receive an Instax camera.

3. WROCŁAW. ” Expedition to the MAX”. – a series of thematic walks about the Centennial Hall – IN POLISH LANGUAGE

Thematic walks “Wyprawa na MAXA” is a story about the object which since 2006 has been on the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage List, the Centennial Hall, which for 110 years has delighted with its innovative design as an example of the highest engineering prowess and craftsmanship proficiency.

8. The closing ceremony of the “Heritage on MAXA! Discovering UNESCO Monuments in Lower Silesia.

The event will be accompanied by Damian Kanclerski – Wroclaw city guide, Sudety guide, member of PTTK, “On the Trail of UNESCO Sites in Poland”, Grzegorz Basiński – Manager of Renovation and Conservation Department at Twierdza Srebrna Góra sp. z o.o. and Dr. Maciej Szymczyk – Director of the Museum of Paper Industry in Duszniki Zdrój. There will also be an official prize-giving ceremony for the winners of the photography competition, as well as an exhibition of the competition results and the partners’ attractions.
