2023-11-30With the publication of the fourteenth edition of the “Meetings and Events Industry in Poland 2023” report by the Poland Convention Bureau of the Polish Tourism Organization, it is safe to say that the events industry in Poland is regaining momentum after the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. This article takes a closer look at the situation in the conference industry in Wrocław, one of the dynamically developing conference hubs in the country.
Event growth in Wrocław +195%
According to the report, Wrocław impressively recorded 1019 reported events in 2022 by the Convention Bureau – Wrocław, marking a remarkable 195% increase compared to the previous year. This signals the recovery of the sector, confirming the attractiveness of the city as a venue for meetings and events.
Dominance of corporate events and conferences
The most significant trend in 2022 was the dominance of corporate and motivational events, constituting 51% of all reported meetings. Conferences and congresses accounted for 42%, while trade shows and exhibitions made up 7%. This underscores Poland’s growing significance as a business hub and an inspiring location for corporations and motivational organizations.
Wrocław as a strong player on the Polish events map
Among the cities participating in the survey, Wrocław stands out as a strong player, recording the highest growth in the number of reported events. This is the result of close collaboration between international organizations and local partners actively contributing to the promotion of the city as an attractive destination for various meetings.
In summary, the “Meetings and Events Industry in Poland 2023” report reveals that Poland, especially Wrocław, is reclaiming its position in the global events industry.
