Our city

Wrocław is a vibrant, historic city on the forefront of change in New Europe. It’s an academic center with 22 institutions of higher learning and over 140,000 students. It’s a dynamic business center with an economy increasingly based on new technologies and innovation. The city’s history is a mishmash of influences that speak of the varied cultural influences on a place that was at different times claimed by Prussia, Austria, Germany and, of course, Poland. Thanks to its history the city has become an open-minded, creative center for international business and culture. International investments and entrepreneurship thrive in Wrocław and Lower Silesia. The region offers a competitive and dynamic setting for prominent foreign investors and leading Polish companies. According to Association of Business Service Leaders in Poland Wrocław is the most dynamically developing in the business services sector in the years 2008–2010. It shall also be underlined that Wrocław can boast the biggest number of Knowledge Process Outsourcing investments in our country. But the city offers much more than innovative business solutions – it is one of the most rapidly developing cultural centers on the cultural map of Poland and Europe. It is also the winner of the European Culture Congress in 2016, which will bring numerous cultural events to the city.
