The congress focuses on the overall relationship between the water environment and the urban environment. Invariably, the ambitious aim is to identify actions that offset or eliminate the negative effects of the interactions between the two environments.

The global pandemic has not made water and climate challenges and risks disappear. An analysis indicating the complexity of the environmental aspects of water management will therefore be necessary. It must take into account supply, production and distribution systems, consider threats to water sources, the destructive power of the elements, river transport capacities or the risk of drought.
