On 23 August 2025, the monumental interior of Centennial Hall in Wrocław will host an extraordinary concert titled “This is Where Wrocław Begins.” Two world-class acts will share the stage: acclaimed Polish jazz pianist Leszek Możdżer and the legendary British ensemble The Cinematic Orchestra.

A Unique Musical Event

The concert is organized to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the Lower Silesian “Solidarity” movement and the August 1980 strike at Wrocław’s historic Bus Depot No. VII, today home to the Centrum Historii Zajezdnia.

Multimedia Experience

This is more than just a concert – it will be a multimedia spectacle combining live music, lighting effects, and visual projections, creating a fully immersive experience for the audience.

The Artists

• The Cinematic Orchestra – the British nu-jazz collective, led by Jason Swinscoe, blending jazz, soul, electronica, post-rock, classical, and ambient music for over two decades.

• Leszek Możdżer – one of Poland’s most acclaimed pianists, composers, and arrangers, known for blending classical music with jazz improvisation and innovative soundscapes.
