International Psychological Congress in Wrocław
In June 2026, Wrocław will become the host city of one of the largest scientific and social events in Poland. The International Psychological Congress will bring together around 5,000 participants — experts, researchers, psychology practitioners, media representatives, and residents interested in the latest knowledge in psychology and its practical applications.
The main venue of the event will be Centennial Hall, while the Congress programme will also include other important locations in Wrocław, such as the Four Domes Pavilion and the Wrocław Zoo. This broad format highlights the interdisciplinary and urban character of the event — the Congress will be not only a meeting of the scientific community, but also a space for dialogue with residents.
The event is organised by the City of Wrocław, SWPS University, and TVP Wrocław. A letter of intent signed in July 2025 officially launched preparations for the Congress, which will combine academic, social, and media perspectives.
The programme will cover a wide range of topics relevant to modern individuals and society — from mental health, psychological resilience, and wellbeing, through trauma, mobbing, and everyday challenges, to the impact of new technologies, artificial intelligence, and psychology on environmental protection. The Congress will be an opportunity to show how psychological knowledge can support people, organisations, and communities in a world of rapid change.
Hosting an event of this scale in Wrocław confirms the city’s growing position as a centre of knowledge, science, innovation, and professional congress meetings. Thanks to its developed event infrastructure, academic background, and experience in organising large-scale events, the capital of Lower Silesia is a natural destination for congresses that combine an international dimension with local engagement.
The choice of Centennial Hall as the main venue is particularly significant. This UNESCO World Heritage Site has long remained one of Wrocław’s most important symbols and a space for major congresses, conferences, cultural, social, and business events.
The International Psychological Congress will present Wrocław as a city open to knowledge, dialogue, and cooperation between different communities. It will also be an important example of how congresses can go beyond the traditional framework of expert meetings, engaging residents and responding to the real needs of contemporary society.
