Leonora Armellini, a talented pianist, has achieved significant success in international piano competitions. She secured the 5th place at the XVIII International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw in 2021 and was a finalist in the XVI International Ferruccio Busoni Piano Competition.
Her exceptional talent was acknowledged by none other than Zubin Mehta, who awarded her the prestigious Galileo 2000 international prize for “courage and musical talent.”
Leonora Armellini has captured the hearts of the audience at the Chopin Competition and earned recognition from acclaimed music critics. At just 17 years old, the Italian pianist graduated with honors from the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome, where she had the opportunity to study under Sergio Perticaroli. Additionally, she further developed her skills under the guidance of Lilya Zilberstein at the Musikhochschule Hamburg and Boris Petrushansky at the Accademia Pianistica “Incontri col Maestro” in Imola, which had a pivotal influence on her artistic development.
