Boris Giltburg, an exceptional pianist, has triumphed in world-renowned piano competitions, earning the most prestigious awards and recognition. He emerged victorious in the Queen Elisabeth International Piano Competition and secured the 2nd place in the Arthur Rubinstein International Master Piano Competition in Tel Aviv.
His successes in these competitions led to a contract with the renowned record label Naxos, which considers him an exclusive artist. Boris Giltburg has received numerous awards for his recordings, including Opus Klassik for the best solo recording for Rachmaninov’s concertos and Etudes Tableaux, as well as Diapason d’Or for the concertos of Shostakovich and his own arrangement of Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 8.
The pianist was also honored with the Gramophone Award for his recording of Dvorak’s Piano Quintet with the Pavel Haas Quartet. Their latest collaborative release, Brahms Piano Quintet, also received Diapason d’Or, showcasing the high level of artistry in their collaboration.
