“Together and Apart” 29-30 may 2023 Wrocław
The Department of City Promotion and Tourism of the Wrocław City Hall as well as the Convention Bureau – Wrocław and the Union of Polish Metropolises organised a self-government meeting entitled “Together and Apart”, which took place on 29-30 May in Wrocław. The meeting focused on important topics related to the development of tourism and the promotion of cities under the motto “together and apart”. The event was held under the patronage of the Polish Tourist Organisation.
During the meeting, the potential and possibilities of a joint campaign of the culinary project #OdkryjSmakiMiast. Allowing residents and tourists to have a unique experience of a culinary journey through Polish cities was discussed. To develop culinary tourist routes that will lead through the most important culinary places in each city, which is currently one of the most popular motives for travelling around the world. Participants had the opportunity to discuss promotional strategies and activities that can contribute to increasing the attractiveness of the culinary offer of cities.
In addition, part of the meeting was devoted to tourism research, which was carried out in a workshop format, and the topic of short-term rentals. Experts presented good practices and possible solutions related to short-term rentals, and discussed methods and solutions used by the City of Kraków.
The meeting concluded with a summary, in which the participants had the opportunity to share their observations, conclusions and ideas for further activities related to tourism promotion.
