The Polish launch of the “Walk a LOT” promotional workshop series took place in Wrocław and Lower Silesia. As part of an intensive programme, its participants had the opportunity to become comprehensively acquainted with the rich offer of the region and its capital, and to establish contacts with potential partners from our country.
During the trip, the guests from Scandinavia discovered the multiculturalism of Wrocław, visited Karpacz and Świdnica with the Church of Peace, and explored the nooks and crannies of Książ Castle in Wałbrzych. There was also a dinner full of regional flavours and a night tour of the Old Mine – Science and Art Centre also in Wałbrzych.
The visit was organised by the PTO with substantive and financial support from the Wrocław City Hall, the Wrocław Convention Bureau, the Lower Silesian Tourist Organisation and LOT Polish Airlines, which provided the participants with flights to Poland.
The Polish edition of “Walk a LOT” was open to the winners of the individual stages of the Scandinavian part of the projects. They were organised in each of the Scandinavian airports from which LOT Polish Airlines flies to Poland. During 5-kilometre walks in interesting suburban parks or forests, representatives of the local tourism industry were encouraged to create attractive offers for trips to Poland. They took the opportunity to solve quizzes on their knowledge of PLL LOT products and destinations in Poland. The prize was precisely participation in the Lower Silesian edition of ‘Walk a LOT’.
