During two days, Wrocław Congress Center became a place of debate on ecology and sustainable development. On 4-5 December, 2012, Climate-KIC conference „Role models of Innovation for Tackling Climate Change” took place. The event was focused on a broad range of issues related to counteract climate change. Representatives of business, science and local authorities have an opportunity to jointly reflect on how European communities, cities and regions could became more environmentally friendly. The event was also an opportunity to showcase Climate-KIc’s achievements – innovative technologies for ecology and the tools used by organization to promote innovative entrepreneurship.
The conference, beyond providing a platform for exchange of ideas and experiences, was one of the steps taken to deepen cooperation between the capital of Lower Silesia, European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) as well as the Climate-KIC association. One of the effects of the conference was the decision made by the Climate-KIC to organize its annual Innovation Festival in Wrocław in October next year.
The organizers of the conference were: Climate-KIC, Wrocław Research Center EIT+ with logistical support of Convention Bureau – Wrocław.
