On the 27th of April, we had the opportunity to meet local representatives of the MICE industry at this year’s first Local MICE Business Meeting at the TV studio of Wrocław Stadium. Due to the restrictions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was held on-line.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of Wrocław hotels, conference and congress venues, representatives of the event industry and speakers: Agnieszka Szymerowska – President of the Board Convention Bureau – Wrocław, Wiktoria Król – Cieciorowska – MICE Specialist Convention Bureau – Wrocław, Alfred Wagner – Deputy Director of the City Promotion and Tourism Department in Wrocław, Grażyna Grot – Duziak – Meetings & Incentives Director Weco-Travel, SITE Poland and Kacper Cecota – Management Board Representative for Communication at Wrocław Stadium. As a part of the meeting, we had the opportunity to discuss the current situation of the MICE industry. Agnieszka Szymerowska leaded all discussions and presented planned events in Wrocław for this year. Wiktoria Król – Cieciorowska presented statistics from the Report of the Meetings and Events Industry in Poland. Alfred Wagner showed the participants of the meeting all activities conducted for the industry in Wrocław, he also presented information about some planned events in the city and new ideas for tourist and gastronomic councils that would represent the interests of individual industries. The speaker – Grażyna Grot-Duziak – presented to the participants the travel perspectives from the point of view of incetive travel in Poland – focusing on localities, and discussed the demand for incentive trips from companies that will need to integrate their teams after the pandemic. Finally, we had the opportunity to listen to Kacper Cecota, who presented us the activities conducted by Wrocław Stadium during the pandemic, including the organization of the largest drive through vaccination point in its area.
