The closure of the Sofitel Wrocław Old Town hotel – The Orbis Group Press Release

The management board of the Orbis group decided not to open the facility, which activity has been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown situation. The decision was made while considering the lack of prospects for a modernization process of the facility, which is crucial to maintain the market position and to extend the leasing agreement of the Sofitel Wrocław Old Town hotel.

The Company’s priority remains the support of the employees and the protection of the maximum number of jobs, which is why most hotel employees received an offer to work in other hotels belonging to the Orbis Group in Wrocław.

Apart from the above-mentioned the Sofitel Wrocław Old Town hotel, Wrocław has six hotels owned by the Orbis Group and operating under the Accor brands.
