Coronavirus – cancellations and rescheduling of events in Wroclaw

Due to high increase of coronavirus pandemic, several regulations and rules were introduced to prevent the spread of the disease. As a result most of the events held in Wrocław had to be cancelled. However significant number of organisers announced there are plans to carry out their events later this year.

All kinds of conferences, trainings, workshops, congresses as well as business meetings were temporarily canceled or postponed. The Culture Zone Wrocław and West Culture Center announced cancelation of all public events, and the National Forum of Music is cancelling the concerts. 

Events organised at the Wrocław Stadium, planned for the next few months have been temporarily cancelled. Amongst many, some of those events are Mamaville Fairs, Mega Lower Silesian Wedding Fair, Foodtruck Festivals Tasty Beer Festival as well as Runmageddon.   Information about their rescheduling will be provided and updated on regular basis at https://stadionwroclaw.pl/en/ .

Concerts at the National Forum of Music, which are scheduled for May 31, 2020, will not take place. NFM will set new dates for individual events https://www.nfm.wroclaw.pl/article?view=article&id=1459 .

Also all of the events organised at Centennial Hall were suspended starting March 11^th, 2020. In the ‘Event Calendar’ on the website provided by the venue (http://halastulecia.pl/wydarzenie/), you will be able to find up to date information and decisions regarding particular events, their possible cancellation or rescheduling.

CANCELLED OR RESCHEDULED EVENTS IN WROCŁAW

• B E O M N I 2020 eCommerce Conference – the conference on marketing has been rescheduled and its new date is 16th and 17th October 2020,
• PROCURMENT ANGELS 2020 – the organizers of this shopping conference along with their participants decided about its rescheduling, the conference will be held in days from 28th to 29th September 2020,
• Wroclaw Congress of Culture 2020 – the congress for the community connected to culture has been rescheduled, the new date of the congress is yet to be announced,
• 4^th International Wroclaw Scientific Meetings – conference which was supposed to be held in Medical Univeristy of Wroclaw was rescheduled, the conference will be held in days from 9th to 10th October 2020,
• The International Art Festiwal Connecting Generations ‘Flamenco Inspirations’ – festival which was to take place in march has been canceled,
• Congress of Tree Diagnostics – despite the efforts of organizers, the international congress was not held on time and will be rescheduled,
• HAND IN HAND – the conference will be rescheduled, however the information about new date of happening will be provided soon,
• Runmageddon – the Wrocław’ edition of this obstacle run has been rescheduled, however the participants are more than welcome to take part in editions held in other cities, the event will be held in day from 26th to 27th September 2020, Wrocław,
• Great Musical Show – 12 Tenors in Wroclaw – the concert has been cancelled and ticket return is available at the purchase place,
• With Strauss through Vienna – the concert has been rescheduled, the event will take place on 10th January 2020,
• Festival of evident Acting Talents FeTA20 – the festival has been cancelled,
• Jazz on the Oder Festival – the event has been rescheduled, it will be held in days  from 6th to 10th October 2020,
• VII Tourism Promotion Forum – the conference on tourism promotion has been rescheduled and is planned to take place on 17th June 2020,
• PhoBiA Annual Nanophotonics International Conference ‘PANIC’ – conference for students and PhD students has been postponed till September/October 2020,
• DiverCITY 4 Conference – the conference planned to be held on 28th April was briefly rescheduled to 21st and 22nd September 2020,
• Drupal Camp Poland 2020 – the conference combined with workshops and trainings has been rescheduled and will take place on 5th and 6th September 2020,
• 3-majówka – an already traditional festival organised during the May holiday has been cancelled,
• Auto Stop Race Costa Brava – the race planned for May has been cancelled,
• Millenium Docs Against Gravity Film Festival – the festival date was rescheduled from May and will be held in days from 4th to 13th September 2020,
• User Conf – the conference created for designers was rescheduled to September 14th 2020,
• IABSE – the symposium was rescheduled from May to 7th October 2020,
• Museum Night Wroclaw – night time tours, attractions and workshops have been rescheduled, the new date for this even will be on 19th September or 26th September in 2020,
• Odra River Cup – international regattas have been cancelled, however optimistic organisers invite you to join next year’s edition scheduled for 29th May 2021,
• International Crime Festival – the festival was rescheduled to the autumn, i.e. 4th to 8th November 2020,
• VII Ogólnopolski Kongres Tutoringu – the congress for education enthusiasts was rescheduled to September 25th 2020,
• Influencer LIVE Wrocław – meeting with the most recognisable influencers in Poland was rescheduled and will take place on October 3rd and 4th, 2020,
• ICON-S 2020 – annual conference – Public Law, (Dis)Trust and Dissent – was rescheduled and will be held in days from 8th to 10th July 2021,
• 38. PKO Wrocław Marathon – running competition has been cancelled,
• The 8th Night PKO Wroclaw Half Marathon – this years edition of night marathon has been cancelled,
• 2020 ELF Men’s Lacrosse Championships Wrocław – have initially been cancelled, the organisers have not yet decided whether the championship will take place this year or will be postponed to next year,
• The 20th New Horizons IFF – this years edition has been rescheduled and will be held in days from 5th to 15th November, the international festival will be attached to the 11. American Film Festival,
• World Congress of Polish Studies – the congress has been cancelled,
• The FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League – the sporting event from June has been rescheduled and a new date will be provided soon,
• Lean Management Conference – conference has been rescheduled, it will be held in days from 14th to 16th November 2020,
• Review of the New Children’s Theatre – the theatre has been rescheduled, it will be held in days from 28th May to 2nd June 2021,
• SQLDay – the conference has been rescheduled from May to 30th November 2020,
