MP Power Awards are organized by MeetingPlanner.pl. The competition aims to highlight the best events and projects related to event marketing as well as to indicate places with special event potential and to distinguish personalities and meetings industry experts.
The competition consists of the following categories: MP Power Project, MP Power Venue, MP Power 12 and MP Power Product. The Creative of the Year of the Event Industry accompanies the MP Power Awards.
Among the nominated in the MP Power Venue category is Hydropolis. It will compete with other Unique Venues from Poland such as Aula Artis (Poznań) and the European Solidarity Centre (Gdańsk). The Jury also nominated the IFLA World Library and Information Congress Wrocław 2017 in the in MP Power Project congresses category. There were over 120 works reported this year. IFLA WLIC will compete with such events as the 9th International Scientific and Training Conference of PTChN and the 41st session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Krakow.
The MP Power 12 plebiscite, in open category, Magdalena Piasecka, Deputy Mayor of Wrocław, was nominated. MP Power 12 is a plebiscite in which the experts and personalities of the MICE industry are honored, people who have a significant impact on the shape and development of the market in a given year. The winner in this category will be selected among three people. Apart from Magdalena Piasecka, Anna Nowakowska (SBE board member for education, Studium Event Management) and prof. Marek Pawełczyk (chairman of the Polish Congresses Ambassadors Program jury, Institute of Automatic Control, Silesian University of Technology).

The winners will be announced during the MP Power Night, which will take place on March 23, 2018 in the space of the Służewiec Horse Racing Track, ending event of Meetings Week Poland 2018.
